Barcelona forward Pedro could soon complete his transfer to Manchester United after he asked to leave the club.
Pedro, 28, was surprisingly benched for tonight's Uefa Super Cup
against Sevilla, although it was understood last month Pedro wanted to
join United.
"Pedro asked us for the transfer," Barcelona's technical secretary Robert Fernandez said on TV3.
"We are not going to accept less than €30m for him, it’s not negotiable."
Pedro was expected to start in the Super Cup after Neymar was
diagnosed with mumps, however he has been demoted in favour of Rafinha.
Louis van Gaal has identified Pedro as the ideal replacement for Angel di Maria to bring 'speed and creativity' to United's attack.
United's interest was confirmed before they played Barcelona in Santa Clara in July and the Champions League winners will not sell Pedro for less than his £22m buyout clause.
